Avignon–got stuck as we drove into the walled city

Winery-first stop in Vacqueras–older lady who spoke no English and wanted to sell us boxed wine. 3 bottles were €14

Winery Where Christine went to the toilette; bought 3 bottles; great view of the valley and the sunset. It was a little after 5 p.m.

Dinner: pizza, quiche Lorraine bought at roadside store in Arles took back to the hotel by 7 p.m.

Picked up rental car at the train station a Renault Clio left Nice by 1:30 or so

Drove to Provence

Drove up to Les Baux stayed at Riboto de Taven in Vale d’Enfer



Walked up to Les Baux as it was getting dark

Ate a late lunch at La Zucca Magica (the Magic Pumpkin) vegetarian cuisine

4. canola with crème and chocolate in a bed of pumpkin

house wine





This may have been the best meal of the entire trip.
